Saw Disney's Doraemon English Dub ep. 1

I thought some of the names could have been more creative. Nobita or Nobi for short sounds good. Sue for Shizuka sounds.. I guess it works, his enemies Giant and Suneo sounded really big. Big G for Giant sounded awful  and could have done a much better job.  It sounded like they were calling Suneo snake? He's more of a fox though >.>; Doriyaki are called Yummy Cakes, I mean they specifically stated their names at the beginning, was it that hard to mention? I understand that watching the English isn't for purist, but if you're going to Americanize, show some creativity that will make you proud to be an American >.>;  

Though they're not great, I'll probably watch some more of them just to see how they develop the characters. It was pretty funny to see some of the characters say american words like "awesome". Mom sounded good, Doraemon was mediocre, Nobita could use some more work, Giant was pretty fun to listen to, Shizuka is passable, ALOT BETTER than the Mexican version >.>; I think they made dad a little too straight forward, they could have mellowed him out some more.
